Our Story
What is Nomadical about?
Nomadical is actually a word I made up (or coined to sound more professional) made of 2 words, Nomad and Radical. At the time it was a way of describing my traveling style, which was rough backpacking to exotic and off the beaten path countries. I’m not sure it’s the best name from an SEO perspective as the famous travel blogger “Nomadic Matt” continually outranks me on google, however it’s been almost 8 years and I’m yet to think of a better (SEO friendly) name to accurately describe this blog.
The Nomadical travel blog is dedicated to sharing some of the best travel tips and content from my trips around the world. We focus on a balanced budget approach, because some things are just worth spending out on, and some aren’t. My cheap backpacking days are (mostly) behind me, but savvy travelling is still important. Most people travel to same the old places in Thailand, USA and Europe… very few think of countries like Tajikistan, Guatemala or Romania as their next travel destination, and I’d like to change that.
I hope this blog will help people learn to travel better, explore more countries that aren’t touristy and help other travellers who want to get into blogging!

Travel Blogger, Marketing Professional & Content Creator
After working for 5 years as an online English teacher back in 2016, I decided to start travel blogging. At the time I assumed I’d get big very quick and then start earning loads of money… I didn’t realise at the time how much more there was to it. From SEO, to domain authority and page speed…. I realised blogging is hard.
I now work in strategic marketing and I work with some big UK brands. I have ran campaigns for Henley Regatta and The Royal Exchange, as well as large financial companies in the UK. I take a new approach to travel blogging and can create campaigns that actually lead to conversions rather than vanity metrics of Instagram.
Blogging is still a big part of my life and I have enjoyed a new way of working with some amazing resorts and travel brands. Check out How We Work With Resorts here!
